Will I Make Friends?

Absolutely!  When you arrive at camp you'll be introduced to your counselors for the week.  Each group of campers, known as a family group, has two counselors who will lead you through the week.  Much of the first day is spent helping you connect with the other campers in your group. Throughout the week you'll need to work together to complete many activities, like the night game, Olympics, and creating a prop that will be used during Olympics. By the end of the week you will have built lasting relationships with many other campers.

What Campers Have to

Say About Jr. High Camp:

Jr. High Camp is the best gift you will ever give or receive. It is not something that will ever go away from your memory; it is a place that touches your life and never leaves you quite the same. It made my relationship with Jesus stronger and really helped me get through some of the rough waters in my life so far. And I have no doubt it will continue aiding me through my life and walk with Jesus.

I've been going to Pocono Plateau since I was 5 years old, but I never really understood who God was and what he did for us until I went to Jr. High Camp.  The counselors and the people there are the best, and have helped me through a lot.  My three years at Jr. High Camp were the best three years of my life.

Junior High Camp was special. I was getting old enough to really understand Jesus and what his sacrifice meant for my life. But instead of leaving me alone to piece it together Nick and Rachel helped me through it. At the end of the week I accepted Jesus as my savior, sure I had known who Jesus was; but they really made it click and truly showed me what He had done for me.

They say there's a difference between a house and a home.  Once a year, I leave my house to return home for seven heavenly days with my "family."  That family has changed my life, and has brought me closer to the Lord.  The same people who were once strangers are now those who walk with me through every struggle.  My relationships with both my friends and the Lord are a result of the beautiful week of Jr. High Camp at Pocono Plateau.

My family convinced me to come to Jr. High Camp, and I was not very excited.  The first day I thought "Why am I here, this is going to be a horrible week."  But boy was I wrong!  Jr. High Camp was one of the highlights of my summer.  The returning campers were so friendly and accepting of new campers such as myself.  The counselors would talk to you about anything you needed and were extremely helpful and comforting.  When it came time to leave, it was really sad.  I just wanted to stay there forever.  I think I could live there forever because everyone there seems like family.
